How does Profhilo® work?

How do Skinboosters work?

Skinboosters are injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) treatments that deeply hydrate the skin from within. They improve skin elasticity, smoothness, and overall texture by replenishing lost moisture and stimulating collagen production, leading to a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance.

How do polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides, or PDRN, are biostimulators which work by promoting skin regeneration and repair. Polynucleotides stimulate collagen synthesis, improve tissue healing, and enhance skin hydration, resulting in improved skin texture, firmness, and overall quality. Polynucleotides don't just hydrate; they act like nutrients or medicine for cells, encouraging them to produce collagen and elastin more effectively. They also enhance the skin's extracellular matrix where fibroblasts reside and have anti-inflammatory properties.

Why do I need two treatments?

To achieve optimal results with injectable skincare, you will initially require two treatments. The initial treatment primes the skin, while further sessions build upon the improvement, ensuring long-lasting and natural-looking outcomes.

What's the difference between Profhilo® and Skinboosters?

While both Profhilo® and Skinboosters contain hyaluronic acid (HA) and offer skin rejuvenation benefits, they work through different mechanisms. Profhilo spreads evenly in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, like a mask, while Skinboosters deeply hydrate and nourish the skin and can be targeted to problem areas such as beneath the eyes, the neck or hands.

How often do I need injectable skincare?

The frequency of injectable skincare treatments varies depending on individual skin concerns and treatment goals. Generally, treatments are initially performed in a series spaced a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every few months. We reccommend planning for six monthly boos of injectable skincare to maintain and nourish the skin from within.
